Hilton brings Motto brand to Japan with 108-room Kyoto hotel opening in 2029

Hilton is going to handle the real estate for Heiwa. The Japanese property developer and property company manages a portfolio of business and non commercial properties in Japan, including the stock market buildings in cities like Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.

In Kyoto, Hilton’s profile is set to expand to 7 accommodations throughout different companies, including an upcoming Curio Collection by Hilton real estate.

“As part of our efforts to realise our long-term vision, WAY2040, we are increasing our hotel service as a brand-new area of development,” claimed Kiyoyuki Tsuchimoto, the firm’s representative executive officer, president and chief executive officer.

Hilton is partnering with Heiwa Real Estate Co to start Motto by Hilton Kyoto Shijo Karasuma. The 108-key hotel will open in 2029.

One Sophia floor plan

“Motto by Hilton Kyoto Shijo Karasuma will give a fresh, locally embeded hospitality experience that motivates gathering, producing a brand-new kind of visit for guests aiming to submerse on their own in Japan’s cultural capital,” stated Alex Shockley, Hilton’ top supervisor, lifestyle and collection labels for Asia Pacific.

The hotel will be a two-minute stretch from Shijo Terminal on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line and Karasuma Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. This is going to enable guests convenient transport access to prominent Kyoto attractions such as Nishiki Market, the historic Gion and Higashiyama locales, and retail offerings in the Shijo Kawaramachi area.

Hilton currently operates 13 Motto resorts, with over 24 hotels under progress. Latest openings included properties in Brazil and Nashville, USA, whilst the group has also inked agreements for properties in Paris, Shanghai and Sydney.

This will be the initial Motto by Hilton real estate in Japan. The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant and a lounge with a free terrace.
